This is a neat concept video from Corning, displaying the future possibilities of glass as it pertains to technology.
I like videos like this because they show all these possibilities and areas where we can explore technology with something as innocuous as glass. Sometimes great ideas can come from simple things all around us that we take for granted. I also like this because of how it is produced. I don’t know about you but it makes me want to try to come up with some new ideas, myself. If it makes you want to get involved then it’s pretty successful on an advertising level. Finally I think this is good for analyzing how it was made, combining live footage with CG footage, something for which I have a great interest. So, not only do you have to write and direct this, you also have to successfully integrate CGI, have music that propels the visuals, and it seems like all of these things and how they fit together, as well as the content and the technology message, fit nicely within the world of IFDM.
